Lisa was moved to tears upon seeing her replacement birth certificate. She has faced countless obstacles, including a battle with alcoholism and a relationship with a man who murdered their child. She ran from her abuser at the age of 18, and has been running since. Here in Arizona, she wants to move forward with her life. Her identification will help her find stable housing and qualify for Social Security Disability Insurance. Despite her physical disability and the heavy burdens of her past, Lisa lights up the room. She serves as an usher at her church, and hopes to find part time work as a caretaker to share her compassion with others.
